मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-58, verse-70

अद्रोहानुपवासांश्च शस्तं चैत्यादिवन्दनम् ।
जपं होमं तथा दानं स्त्रानं क्रोधादिवर्जनम् ॥७०॥
70. adrohānupavāsāṃśca śastaṃ caityādivandanam .
japaṃ homaṃ tathā dānaṃ strānaṃ krodhādivarjanam.
70. adrohānupavāsān ca śastam caityādivandanam |
japam homam tathā dānam snānam krodhādivarjanam
70. Non-harming, the avoidance of fasting, and the worship of shrines and similar sacred places are commendable. Also (commended are) recitation (japa), fire sacrifice (homa), charity (dāna), ritual bathing, and the avoidance of anger and similar vices.
