मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-58, verse-68

शुभोदयं प्रहानिञ्च पापानां द्विजसत्तम ।
प्रज्ञाहानिं प्रकुर्युस्ते द्रव्यादीनाञ्च कुर्वते ॥६८॥
68. śubhodayaṃ prahāniñca pāpānāṃ dvijasattama .
prajñāhāniṃ prakuryuste dravyādīnāñca kurvate.
68. śubhodayam prahāṇim ca pāpānām dvijasattama
prajñāhānim prakuryuḥ te dravyādīnām ca kurvate
68. O best among the twice-born (dvija)! They (the evil influences from previous verses) would cause the loss of auspicious outcomes and hinder the destruction of sins. They also cause the loss of wisdom and the loss of wealth and other possessions.
