भगवन् कथितं सम्यक् भवता भारतं मम ।
सरितः पर्वता देशा ये च तत्र वसन्ति वै ॥१॥

Krauṣṭuki said: "O revered one, you have properly described Bhārata (India) to me, including its rivers, mountains, and regions, and also the people who reside there."
