कर्मणा मोक्षमाप्नोति वैपरीत्येन तस्य तु ।
एतत्ते कथितं ज्ञानं योगं चेमं निबोध मे ॥८॥

Through action (karma), one attains final liberation (mokṣa); but by its opposite, indeed, (one attains the contrary result). This knowledge (jñāna) has been explained to you; now understand this (yoga) from me.
