मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-39, verse-6

उपभोगेन पुण्यानामपुण्यानां च पार्थिव ।
कर्त्तव्यमिति नित्यानामकामकरणात्तथा ॥६॥
6. upabhogena puṇyānāmapuṇyānāṃ ca pārthiva .
karttavyamiti nityānāmakāmakaraṇāttathā.

kartavyam iti nityānām akāma-karaṇāt tathā
6. O King (Pārthiva), [one attains liberation] through the experience of both merits (puṇya) and demerits (apuṇya), and similarly, through the performance of regular duties (nitya karma) without personal desire.
