मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-103, verse-5

यत्तेजोऽभ्यधिकं तस्य मार्तण्डस्य विवस्वतः ।
तेनातितापयामास त्रींल्लोकान्सचराचरान् ॥५॥
5. yattejo'bhyadhikaṃ tasya mārtaṇḍasya vivasvataḥ .
tenātitāpayāmāsa trīṃllokānsacarācarān.
5. yat tejaḥ abhyadhikam tasya mārtaṇḍasya vivasvataḥ
tena atitāpayāmāsa trīn lokān sa-carācarān
5. That Mārtaṇḍa, Vivasvat, possessed excessive brilliance, and with it, he intensely heated the three worlds, along with all moving and non-moving beings.
