मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-103, verse-44

ध्रुवाधाराण्यशेषाणि धिष्ण्यानि मुनिसत्तम ।
त्रुट्यद्रश्मिनिबन्धानि ह्यधो जग्मुः सहस्रशः ॥४४॥
44. dhruvādhārāṇyaśeṣāṇi dhiṣṇyāni munisattama .
truṭyadraśminibandhāni hyadho jagmuḥ sahasraśaḥ.
44. dhruvādhārāṇi aśeṣāṇi dhiṣṇyāni munisattama |
truṭyat-raśmi-nibandhāni hi adhaḥ jagmuḥ sahasraśaḥ
44. Indeed, O best of sages, all the firmly based celestial stations, with their tether-ropes snapping, descended by thousands.
