मार्कण्डेय उवाच ।
त्रीण्यपत्यान्यसौ तस्यां जनयामास गोपतिः ।
द्वौ पुत्रौ सुमहाभागो कन्यां च यमुनां मुने ॥३॥

3. mārkaṇḍeya uvāca .
trīṇyapatyānyasau tasyāṃ janayāmāsa gopatiḥ .
dvau putrau sumahābhāgo kanyāṃ ca yamunāṃ mune.

Mārkaṇḍeya said: That lord of rays (Vivasvat) begot three offspring from her: two very fortunate sons and a daughter, Yamunā, O sage.
