महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-30, verse-5

यद्यस्य समरे साह्यं कुरुते वज्रभृत्स्वयम् ।
तथाप्येनं हतं युद्धे लोको द्रक्ष्यति माधव ॥५॥
5. yadyasya samare sāhyaṁ kurute vajrabhṛtsvayam ,
tathāpyenaṁ hataṁ yuddhe loko drakṣyati mādhava.

tathā api enam hatam yuddhe lokaḥ drakṣyati mādhava
5. माधव! यदि वज्रभृत् स्वयम् अस्य समरे साह्यम् कुरुते तथा अपि लोकः एनम् युद्धे हतम् द्रक्ष्यति ।
5. O Madhava, even if Indra himself provides assistance to him in battle, still, the world will see him slain in this war.
