महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-62, verse-56

तमापतन्तं नरवीरमुग्रं महाहवे बाणसहस्रधारिणम् ।
अभ्यापतत्कर्णसुतो महारथो यथैव चेन्द्रं नमुचिः पुरातने ॥५६॥
56. tamāpatantaṁ naravīramugraṁ; mahāhave bāṇasahasradhāriṇam ,
abhyāpatatkarṇasuto mahāratho; yathaiva cendraṁ namuciḥ purātane.

yathā eva ca indram namuciḥ purātane
56. mahāhave tam āpatantam ugram bāṇasahastradhāriṇam naravīram,

56. Towards that fierce hero among men (Arjuna), who was rushing in the great battle, holding thousands of arrows, Karṇa's son, the great charioteer (Vṛṣasena), rushed, just as Namuci (the demon) had rushed towards Indra in ancient times.
