महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-62, verse-46

कुणिन्दपुत्रप्रहितोऽपरद्विपः शुकं ससूताश्वरथं व्यपोथयत् ।
ततोऽपतत्क्राथशराभिदारितः सहेश्वरो वज्रहतो यथा गिरिः ॥४६॥
46. kuṇindaputraprahito'paradvipaḥ; śukaṁ sasūtāśvarathaṁ vyapothayat ,
tato'patatkrāthaśarābhidāritaḥ; saheśvaro vajrahato yathā giriḥ.

śukam sa-sūta-aśva-ratham vyapothayat
tataḥ apatat krātha-śara-abhidāritaḥ
saha-īśvaraḥ vajra-hataḥ yathā giriḥ
46. kuṇinda-putra-prahitaḥ apara-dvipaḥ śukam sa-sūta-aśva-ratham vyapothayat.
tataḥ krātha-śara-abhidāritaḥ saha-īśvaraḥ apatat,
yathā vajra-hataḥ giriḥ (apatat).
46. Another elephant, dispatched by the Kuṇinda prince, crushed Śuka along with his charioteer, horses, and chariot. Then, Śuka, torn apart by Krātha's arrows, fell along with his lord, just like a mountain struck by a thunderbolt (vajra).
