महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-62, verse-54

तदस्य कर्मातिमनुष्यकर्मणः समीक्ष्य हृष्टाः कुरवोऽभ्यपूजयन् ।
पराक्रमज्ञास्तु धनंजयस्य ते हुतोऽयमग्नाविति तं तु मेनिरे ॥५४॥
54. tadasya karmātimanuṣyakarmaṇaḥ; samīkṣya hṛṣṭāḥ kuravo'bhyapūjayan ,
parākramajñāstu dhanaṁjayasya te; huto'yamagnāviti taṁ tu menire.
54. tat asya karma atimanusyakarmaṇaḥ
samīkṣya hṛṣṭāḥ kuravaḥ abhyapūjayan
parākramajñāḥ tu dhanaṃjayasya
te hutaḥ ayam agnau iti tam tu menire

54. Observing that act of his (Vṛṣasena's), which was a superhuman deed (karma), the Kurus were delighted and cheered. But those who understood Dhanaṃjaya's (Arjuna's) valor considered him (Vṛṣasena) as if he had been offered into the fire, meaning doomed.
