40.
Then again, an exceedingly dreadful and intensely chaotic battle occurred between the Kurus and the Pāṇḍavas and Sr̥ñjayas. It destroyed the lives of men, horses, and elephants, (fought) with arrows, swords, spears, lances, maces, and axes.
