महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-62, verse-43

अथापरे द्रौणिशराहता द्विपास्त्रयः ससर्वायुधयोधकेतवः ।
निपेतुरुर्व्यां व्यसवः प्रपातितास्तथा यथा वज्रहता महाचलाः ॥४३॥
43. athāpare drauṇiśarāhatā dvipā;strayaḥ sasarvāyudhayodhaketavaḥ ,
nipetururvyāṁ vyasavaḥ prapātitā;stathā yathā vajrahatā mahācalāḥ.
43. atha apare drauṇi-śara-āhatāḥ dvipāḥ
trayaḥ sa-sarvāyudha-yodha-ketavaḥ
nipetuḥ urvyām vyasavaḥ prapātitāḥ

43. Then, three other elephants, struck by the arrows of Droṇa's son (Aśvatthāmā), fell lifeless upon the earth along with their weapons, warriors, and banners, just like mighty mountains struck down by a thunderbolt (vajra).
