महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-39, verse-49

आर्जवेन नरं युक्तमार्जवात्सव्यपत्रपम् ।
अशक्तिमन्तं मन्यन्तो धर्षयन्ति कुबुद्धयः ॥४९॥
49. ārjavena naraṁ yuktamārjavātsavyapatrapam ,
aśaktimantaṁ manyanto dharṣayanti kubuddhayaḥ.

aśaktimantam manyantaḥ dharṣayanti kubuddhayaḥ
49. Evil-minded people overpower a man who is endowed with sincerity and who is bashful (savyapatrapa) because of that very sincerity, perceiving him as powerless.
