महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-10, chapter-7, verse-44

श्रुतेन ब्रह्मचर्येण तपसा च दमेन च ।
ये समाराध्य शूलाङ्कं भवसायुज्यमागताः ॥४४॥
44. śrutena brahmacaryeṇa tapasā ca damena ca ,
ye samārādhya śūlāṅkaṁ bhavasāyujyamāgatāḥ.

44. Those who, by means of Vedic knowledge, celibacy (brahmacarya), austerity (tapas), and self-control, have profoundly worshipped Śūlāṅka (Shiva) and thereby achieved intimate union (sāyujya) with Bhava (Shiva).
