योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-7, chapter-37, verse-36

नैव तस्य कृतेनार्थो नाकृतेनेह कश्चन ।
न चास्य सर्वभूतेषु कश्चिदर्थव्यपाश्रयः ॥ ३६ ॥
naiva tasya kṛtenārtho nākṛteneha kaścana ,
na cāsya sarvabhūteṣu kaścidarthavyapāśrayaḥ 36
36. na eva tasya kṛtena arthaḥ na akṛtena iha kaścana
na ca asya sarva-bhūteṣu kaścit artha-vyapāśrayaḥ
36. tasya iha kṛtena arthaḥ na eva na akṛtena kaścana

36. For such a person, there is certainly no purpose or gain in what is done or what is not done here in this world. Nor does he have any dependence or refuge in any object or purpose concerning all beings.
