योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-7, chapter-37, verse-25

यथा यथोदयो ज्ञप्तेर्द्वैतशान्तिस्तथा तथा ।
वासनाविलयश्चैव कथमिच्छोदयो भवेत् ॥ २५ ॥
yathā yathodayo jñapterdvaitaśāntistathā tathā ,
vāsanāvilayaścaiva kathamicchodayo bhavet 25
25. yathā yathā udayaḥ jñapteḥ dvaita-śāntiḥ tathā tathā
vāsanā-vilayaḥ ca eva katham icchā-udayaḥ bhavet
25. yathā yathā jñapteḥ udayaḥ tathā tathā dvaita-śāntiḥ
ca eva vāsanā-vilayaḥ katham icchā-udayaḥ bhavet
25. As awareness (jñapti) dawns more and more, so too does the cessation of duality occur, and indeed, the dissolution of latent impressions (vāsanā). Under such circumstances, how could the arising of desire happen?
