श्रीवाल्मीकिरुवाच ।
इत्युक्तवति भूपाले रामः पुष्पाञ्जलिं ददत् ।
उवाच प्रणतो वाक्यं पुरस्तस्य महागुरोः ॥ ३८ ॥

38. Śrī Vālmīki spoke: When the king had finished speaking thus, Rāma, respectfully bowing, offered a handful of flowers and spoke these words in front of that great preceptor (guru).
