योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-5, chapter-52, verse-13

शब्दादिकाभिरेताभिः किं मूर्ख हतवृत्तिभिः ।
भ्रमस्यविरतं व्यर्थं मेघे मण्डूकिका यथा ॥ १३ ॥
śabdādikābhiretābhiḥ kiṃ mūrkha hatavṛttibhiḥ ,
bhramasyavirataṃ vyarthaṃ meghe maṇḍūkikā yathā 13
13. śabdādikābhiḥ etābhiḥ kim mūrkha hatavṛttibhiḥ
bhramasi aviratam vyartham meghe maṇḍūkikā yathā

13. Oh fool! What is the use of these sense objects (like sounds), which lead to ruined activities? You wander ceaselessly and in vain, just like a little frog in a cloud.
