योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-5, chapter-52, verse-62

भवद्भिरेव दुःखाय वासनावासिता मुधा ।
बालैः पङ्कक्रीडनकं विनाशेनेव खिन्नता ॥ ६२ ॥
bhavadbhireva duḥkhāya vāsanāvāsitā mudhā ,
bālaiḥ paṅkakrīḍanakaṃ vināśeneva khinnatā 62
62. bhavadbhiḥ eva duḥkhāya vāsanā vāsitā mudhā
bālaiḥ paṅka-krīḍanakam vināśena iva khinnatā
62. भवद्भिः एव वासना मुधा दुःखाय वासिता इव बालैः पङ्क क्रीडनकम् विनाशेण खिन्नता ।
62. It is indeed by you yourselves that latent impressions (vāsanā) are uselessly created for your own suffering. This is like children experiencing distress when their mud playthings are destroyed.
