श्रीराम उवाच ।
ब्रह्मन्विदेहमुक्तस्य जीवन्मुक्तस्य लक्षणम् ।
ब्रूहि येन तथैवाहं यते शास्त्रदृशा धिया ॥ ३ ॥

Śrī Rāma said: O Brahmin, please describe the characteristics of a liberated (mokṣa) soul in the bodiless state (videhamukta) and a living liberated (jīvanmukta) soul, so that I may strive accordingly with a mind (dhiyā) guided by scriptural insight.
