मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-130, verse-44

तेऽपि वीरा महीपालाः शरशक्त्यृष्टिमुद्गरान् ।
मुमुचुस्तत्प्रयुक्तांश्च दमश्चिच्छेद लीलया ॥४४॥
44. te'pi vīrā mahīpālāḥ śaraśaktyṛṣṭimudgarān .

44. te api vīrāḥ mahīpālāḥ śaraśaktyṛṣṭimudgarān
mumucuḥ tatprayuktān ca damaḥ ciccheda līlayā
44. Those valiant kings, too, hurled arrows, spears, javelins, and maces, but Dama effortlessly severed even those (weapons) sent by them.
