मार्कण्डेय उवाच ।
तच्छ्रुत्वाऽसौ दमः कोपकषायीकृतलोचनः ।
आरोपयामास धनुर्वचनं चेदमब्रवीत् ॥३६॥

आरोपयामास धनुर्वचनं चेदमब्रवीत् ॥३६॥
36. mārkaṇḍeya uvāca .
tacchrutvā'sau damaḥ kopakaṣāyīkṛtalocanaḥ .
āropayāmāsa dhanurvacanaṃ cedamabravīt.

36.
Mārkaṇḍeya said: Hearing that, Dama, his eyes reddened with rage, strung his bow and uttered these words.
