महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-36, verse-50

ततस्तमृषिसंघातं निराशं चिन्तयान्वितम् ।
दर्शयामास राजेन्द्र तेषामर्थे सरस्वती ॥५०॥
50. tatastamṛṣisaṁghātaṁ nirāśaṁ cintayānvitam ,
darśayāmāsa rājendra teṣāmarthe sarasvatī.
50. tataḥ tam ṛṣi-saṃghātam nirāśam cintayā-anvitam
darśayāmāsa rāja-indra teṣām arthe sarasvatī
50. tataḥ rājendra sarasvatī teṣām arthe tam nirāśam
cintayā-anvitam ṛṣi-saṃghātam darśayāmāsa
50. Then, O King (rājendra), Sarasvati (the river/goddess) revealed [a solution or a path] to that multitude of sages (ṛṣisaṃghāta), who were despondent (nirāśa) and filled with anxiety (cintayānvita), for their sake.
