महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-36, verse-2

यस्मात्सा भरतश्रेष्ठ द्वेषान्नष्टा सरस्वती ।
तस्मात्तदृषयो नित्यं प्राहुर्विनशनेति ह ॥२॥
2. yasmātsā bharataśreṣṭha dveṣānnaṣṭā sarasvatī ,
tasmāttadṛṣayo nityaṁ prāhurvinaśaneti ha.
2. yasmāt sā bharata-śreṣṭha dveṣāt naṣṭā sarasvatī
tasmāt tat ṛṣayaḥ nityam prāhuḥ vinaśanā iti ha
2. bharata-śreṣṭha,
yasmāt sā sarasvatī dveṣāt naṣṭā,
tasmāt ṛṣayaḥ tat nityam vinaśanā iti ha prāhuḥ.
2. O best among the Bharatas, because that Sarasvatī (Sarasvatī) river disappeared due to aversion, therefore the sages always call that place Vinaśana.
