महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-36, verse-49

ततो यज्ञोपवीतैस्ते तत्तीर्थं निर्मिमाय वै ।
जुहुवुश्चाग्निहोत्राणि चक्रुश्च विविधाः क्रियाः ॥४९॥
49. tato yajñopavītaiste tattīrthaṁ nirmimāya vai ,
juhuvuścāgnihotrāṇi cakruśca vividhāḥ kriyāḥ.
49. tataḥ yajñopavītaiḥ te tat tīrtham nirmimāya vai
juhuvuḥ ca agnihotrāṇi cakruḥ ca vividhāḥ kriyāḥ
49. tataḥ te yajñopavītaiḥ tat tīrtham vai nirmimāya

49. Then, indeed, they created that sacred ford (tīrtha) by means of their sacred threads (yajñopavīta). And they offered Agnihotra sacrifices and performed various rituals.
