महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-36, verse-45

वालखिल्या महाराज अश्मकुट्टाश्च तापसाः ।
दन्तोलूखलिनश्चान्ये संप्रक्षालास्तथापरे ॥४५॥
45. vālakhilyā mahārāja aśmakuṭṭāśca tāpasāḥ ,
dantolūkhalinaścānye saṁprakṣālāstathāpare.

ulūkhalinaḥ ca anye saṃprakṣālāḥ tathā apare

45. O great king, there were ascetics (tapasvin) known as Vālakhilyas, others who pounded their food with stones (aśmakuṭṭa), and still others who ground food with their teeth (dantolūkhala), and similarly, there were those who practiced ritual cleansing (saṃprakṣāla).
