महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-36, verse-23

प्राप्तैश्च नियमैस्तैस्तैर्विचरन्तः पृथक्पृथक् ।
अदृश्यमाना मनुजैर्व्यचरन्पुरुषर्षभ ॥२३॥
23. prāptaiśca niyamaistaistairvicarantaḥ pṛthakpṛthak ,
adṛśyamānā manujairvyacaranpuruṣarṣabha.

23. O best among men, adhering to those various observances they had undertaken, they wandered about individually, moving unseen by humans.
