महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-22, verse-32

इदं तु मे यथाप्रज्ञं शृणु वाक्यं विशां पते ।
अनिहत्य रणे पार्थं नाहमेष्यामि भारत ॥३२॥
32. idaṁ tu me yathāprajñaṁ śṛṇu vākyaṁ viśāṁ pate ,
anihatya raṇe pārthaṁ nāhameṣyāmi bhārata.
32. idam tu me yathāprajñam śṛṇu vākyam viśām pate
| anihatya raṇe pārtham na aham eṣyāmi bhārata
32. O viśām pate,
O bhārata,
me yathāprajñam idam vākyam tu śṛṇu aham raṇe pārtham anihatya na eṣyāmi
32. O lord of the people (viśām pate), O Bhārata, hear this statement of mine, made to the best of my understanding. I shall not return without having killed Pārtha in battle.
