महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-22, verse-14

धृतराष्ट्र उवाच ।
यद्वोऽगमन्मनो मन्दाः कर्णं वैकर्तनं तदा ।
अप्यद्राक्षत तं यूयं शीतार्ता इव भास्करम् ॥१४॥
14. dhṛtarāṣṭra uvāca ,
yadvo'gamanmano mandāḥ karṇaṁ vaikartanaṁ tadā ,
apyadrākṣata taṁ yūyaṁ śītārtā iva bhāskaram.
14. dhṛtarāṣṭraḥ uvāca yat vaḥ agamat manaḥ mandāḥ karṇam
vaikartanam tadā api adrākṣata tam yūyam śītārtāḥ iva bhāskaram

14. Dhritarashtra said: "O foolish ones, since your minds then turned to Karna, the son of Vikartana, did you actually see him, just as those suffering from cold see the sun?"
