महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-9, verse-63

न पूर्वे नापरे चक्रुरिदं केचन मानवाः ।
इति संचुक्रुशुर्देवाः कृते कर्मणि दुष्करे ॥६३॥

63. na pūrve nāpare cakruridaṁ kecana mānavāḥ ,
iti saṁcukruśurdevāḥ kṛte karmaṇi duṣkare.

63. kecana mānavāḥ pūrve na cakruḥ,

63. No humans, neither those of the past (pūrve) nor those who would come after (apare), ever performed such a feat. Thus, the gods exclaimed after this difficult (duṣkara) deed (karma) had been accomplished.
