महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-148, verse-61

तमापतन्तं संक्रुद्धं दीप्तास्यमिव पन्नगम् ।
अभ्यस्यन्परमेष्वासः प्रतिजग्राह सूतजः ॥६१॥
61. tamāpatantaṁ saṁkruddhaṁ dīptāsyamiva pannagam ,
abhyasyanparameṣvāsaḥ pratijagrāha sūtajaḥ.

61. The great archer, the son of Sūta (Karṇa), confronted him as he approached, greatly enraged and like a blazing-mouthed serpent, while exerting himself (in battle).
