महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-148, verse-12

धावमानस्य योधस्य क्षुरप्रैः स महामृधे ।
बाहू चिच्छेद वै कर्णः शिरश्चैव सकुण्डलम् ॥१२॥
12. dhāvamānasya yodhasya kṣurapraiḥ sa mahāmṛdhe ,
bāhū ciccheda vai karṇaḥ śiraścaiva sakuṇḍalam.

12. In that great battle, Karna indeed cut off the two arms of a running warrior with kṣurapra arrows, and also his head, still adorned with earrings.
