महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-148, verse-48

एतदर्थं हि हैडिम्ब पुत्रानिच्छन्ति मानवाः ।
कथं नस्तारयेद्दुःखात्स त्वं तारय बान्धवान् ॥४८॥
48. etadarthaṁ hi haiḍimba putrānicchanti mānavāḥ ,
kathaṁ nastārayedduḥkhātsa tvaṁ tāraya bāndhavān.
48. etadartham hi haiḍimba putrān icchanti mānavāḥ
katham naḥ tārayet duḥkhāt saḥ tvam tāraya bāndhavān
48. haiḍimba,
mānavāḥ etadartham hi putrān icchanti (yathā) naḥ duḥkhāt katham tārayet (iti).
saḥ tvam bāndhavān tāraya.
48. Indeed, O son of Hiḍimbā, it is for this reason that people desire sons, (thinking) 'How will he deliver us from sorrow?' You, therefore, deliver your kinsmen.
