महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-148, verse-13

ऊरू चिच्छेद चान्यस्य गजस्थस्य विशां पते ।
वाजिपृष्ठगतस्यापि भूमिष्ठस्य च मारिष ॥१३॥
13. ūrū ciccheda cānyasya gajasthasya viśāṁ pate ,
vājipṛṣṭhagatasyāpi bhūmiṣṭhasya ca māriṣa.

vājipṛṣṭhagatasya api bhūmiṣṭhasya ca māriṣa
13. ca viśām pate māriṣa anyasya gajasthasya ca
vājipṛṣṭhagatasya api ca bhūmiṣṭhasya ūrū ciccheda
13. And, O lord of the people (viśām pate), O respected one (māriṣa), he (Karna) cut off the two thighs of another warrior who was mounted on an elephant, and also of one who was on horseback, and even of one standing on the ground.
