महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-148, verse-29

नैतदस्योत्सहे सोढुं चरितं रणमूर्धनि ।
प्रत्यक्षं वृष्णिशार्दूल पादस्पर्शमिवोरगः ॥२९॥
29. naitadasyotsahe soḍhuṁ caritaṁ raṇamūrdhani ,
pratyakṣaṁ vṛṣṇiśārdūla pādasparśamivoragaḥ.
29. na etat asya utsahe soḍhum caritam raṇamūrdhani
pratyakṣam vṛṣṇiśārdūla pādasparśam iva uragaḥ
29. vṛṣṇiśārdūla,
uragaḥ pādasparśam iva,
asya etat pratyakṣam raṇamūrdhani caritam soḍhum na utsahe
29. O Tiger among the Vṛṣṇis, I cannot tolerate this direct conduct of his on the battlefield, just as a snake cannot endure being trodden upon.
