महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-26, verse-8

काश्मीरमण्डले नद्यो याः पतन्ति महानदम् ।
ता नदीः सिन्धुमासाद्य शीलवान्स्वर्गमाप्नुयात् ॥८॥
8. kāśmīramaṇḍale nadyo yāḥ patanti mahānadam ,
tā nadīḥ sindhumāsādya śīlavānsvargamāpnuyāt.
8. kāśmīramaṇḍale nadyaḥ yāḥ patanti mahānadam tāḥ
nadīḥ sindhum āsādya śīlavān svargam āpnuyāt
8. kāśmīramaṇḍale yāḥ nadyaḥ mahānadam patanti,
tāḥ nadīḥ sindhum āsādya,
śīlavān svargam āpnuyāt
8. A virtuous person, by reaching those rivers in the Kashmir region that flow into the great river and then reach the Sindhu (Indus), would attain heaven.
