महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-26, verse-7

अङ्गिरा उवाच ।
सप्ताहं चन्द्रभागां वै वितस्तामूर्मिमालिनीम् ।
विगाह्य वै निराहारो निर्ममो मुनिवद्भवेत् ॥७॥
7. aṅgirā uvāca ,
saptāhaṁ candrabhāgāṁ vai vitastāmūrmimālinīm ,
vigāhya vai nirāhāro nirmamo munivadbhavet.

7. Aṅgirā said: By bathing for seven days in the Candrabhāgā and the wave-adorned Vitastā, one who remains without food and free from possessiveness will become like a sage (muni).
