महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-26, verse-1

युधिष्ठिर उवाच ।
तीर्थानां दर्शनं श्रेयः स्नानं च भरतर्षभ ।
श्रवणं च महाप्राज्ञ श्रोतुमिच्छामि तत्त्वतः ॥१॥
1. yudhiṣṭhira uvāca ,
tīrthānāṁ darśanaṁ śreyaḥ snānaṁ ca bharatarṣabha ,
śravaṇaṁ ca mahāprājña śrotumicchāmi tattvataḥ.

1. Yudhishthira said: 'O best of the Bharatas, O greatly wise one, the sight of holy places (tīrthas) and bathing in them is considered meritorious. I wish to hear about this in its true essence.'
