महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-26, verse-45

महाह्रद उपस्पृश्य शुद्धेन मनसा नरः ।
एकमासं निराहारो जमदग्निगतिं लभेत् ॥४५॥

45. A person who bathes in the Great Lake with a pure mind and fasts for one month, would attain the destination (gati) of Jamadagni.
