महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-133, verse-17

अपरे स्तम्भिनो नित्यं मानिनः पापतो रताः ।
आसनार्हस्य ये पीठं न प्रयच्छन्त्यचेतसः ॥१७॥
17. apare stambhino nityaṁ māninaḥ pāpato ratāḥ ,
āsanārhasya ye pīṭhaṁ na prayacchantyacetasaḥ.

17. Others, who are constantly arrogant and proud, indulge in sinful acts. These foolish people do not offer a seat to one who is worthy of it.
