महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-133, verse-20

गुरुं चाभिगतं प्रेम्णा गुरुवन्न बुभूषते ।
अभिमानप्रवृत्तेन लोभेन समवस्थिताः ॥२०॥
20. guruṁ cābhigataṁ premṇā guruvanna bubhūṣate ,
abhimānapravṛttena lobhena samavasthitāḥ.
20. gurum ca abhigatam premṇā guruvat na bubhūṣate
abhimānapravṛttena lobhena samavasthitāḥ
20. And they do not wish to treat a guru (teacher) who has approached them affectionately, with the respect due to a guru (teacher). They are consumed by ego (abhimāna) and greed.
