महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-133, verse-11

दीनान्धकृपणान्दृष्ट्वा भिक्षुकानतिथीनपि ।
याच्यमाना निवर्तन्ते जिह्वालोभसमन्विताः ॥११॥
11. dīnāndhakṛpaṇāndṛṣṭvā bhikṣukānatithīnapi ,
yācyamānā nivartante jihvālobhasamanvitāḥ.

11. Having seen the poor, the blind, the wretched, beggars, and even guests, those who are entreated turn away, afflicted by greed for gratification (jihvā-lobha).
