इमे मनुष्या दृश्यन्ते ऊहापोहविशारदाः ।
ज्ञानविज्ञानसंपन्नाः प्रज्ञावन्तोऽर्थकोविदाः ।
दुष्प्रज्ञाश्चापरे देव ज्ञानविज्ञानवर्जिताः ॥४३॥

Umā said: "These humans are seen to be skilled in analysis and synthesis, endowed with spiritual knowledge (jñāna) and empirical knowledge (vijñāna), intelligent and expert in matters of purpose. And others, O Lord, are unintelligent and completely lacking in both (jñāna) and (vijñāna)."
