महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-133, verse-34

उपक्रामति जन्तूंश्च उद्वेगजननः सदा ।
एवंशीलसमाचारो निरयं प्रतिपद्यते ॥३४॥
34. upakrāmati jantūṁśca udvegajananaḥ sadā ,
evaṁśīlasamācāro nirayaṁ pratipadyate.
34. upakrāmati jantūn ca udvegajananaḥ sadā
evam śīlasamācāraḥ nirayam pratipadyate
34. ca (yaḥ) sadā jantūn upakrāmati (yaś ca) sadā udvegajananaḥ (bhavati); evam śīlasamācāraḥ (saḥ) nirayam pratipadyate.
34. And whoever always attacks creatures, constantly causing them distress; a person whose character and conduct are thus (evil) attains hell (niraya).
