महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-101, verse-8

सुवर्णस्त्वब्रवीद्वाक्यं मनुं स्वायंभुवं प्रभुम् ।
हितार्थं सर्वभूतानां प्रश्नं मे वक्तुमर्हसि ॥८॥
8. suvarṇastvabravīdvākyaṁ manuṁ svāyaṁbhuvaṁ prabhum ,
hitārthaṁ sarvabhūtānāṁ praśnaṁ me vaktumarhasi.
8. suvarṇaḥ tu abravīt vākyam manum svāyambhuvaṃ prabhum
hitārtham sarvabhūtānām praśnam me vaktum arhasi
8. Suvarṇa then addressed Manu Svāyambhuva, the lord, with these words: "You should answer my question for the welfare of all beings."
