आलोकदानाच्चक्षुष्मान्प्रभायुक्तो भवेन्नरः ।
तान्दत्त्वा नोपहिंसेत न हरेन्नोपनाशयेत् ॥४९॥

49. A person who offers light becomes endowed with good eyesight and radiance. Having offered these (lights), one should not harm them, nor take them away, nor destroy them.
