महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-273, verse-36

अस्माकं ब्रह्महत्यातो कोऽन्तो लोकपितामह ।
स्वभावनिहतानस्मान्न पुनर्हन्तुमर्हसि ॥३६॥
36. asmākaṁ brahmahatyāto ko'nto lokapitāmaha ,
svabhāvanihatānasmānna punarhantumarhasi.

svabhāva nihatān asmān na punaḥ hantum arhasi

36. “O Grandfather of the worlds, what is the end for us from the sin of brahmin-killing (brahmahatyā)? You ought not to kill us again, us who are already inherently prone to death by our very intrinsic nature (svabhāva).”
