महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-273, verse-21

तामुवाच महाबाहो ब्रह्महत्यां पितामहः ।
स्वरेण मधुरेणाथ सान्त्वयन्निव भारत ॥२१॥
21. tāmuvāca mahābāho brahmahatyāṁ pitāmahaḥ ,
svareṇa madhureṇātha sāntvayanniva bhārata.

svareṇa madhureṇa atha sāntvayann iva bhārata
21. bhārata mahābāho atha pitāmahaḥ tām brahmahatyām

21. O mighty-armed one, then the grandfather (Brahmā) addressed that brahmin-killing (brahmahatyā) with a sweet voice, as if consoling her.
